Okay, best WordPress plugins for what?  You see there are, as of today,  24,837 different WordPress plugins available for download.  Those plugins can extend WordPress to do almost anything you can imagine. There are those we wouldn’t want to operate without, however.  We have already written a post about blocking spam robots and our choice for that can be found here.

The Best WordPress plugins for starting a website or blog:

Once a site is up and running, you’ll need to install the All in one SEO Pack and fill in the title, description and keywords.  You’ll want to set up your categories and menu. If you want a sliding or stationary bar with the social buttons ( Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc) you can install the Digg Digg plugin. If you are looking for a more interactive WordPress plugin take a look at the Love Claw plugin (mentioned and explained in this post.)  After adding these plugins, don’t forget to install the XML Site Map plugin:

This WordPress plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask.com to better index your blog. With such a sitemap, it’s much easier for the crawlers to see the complete structure of your site and retrieve it more efficiently. The plugin supports all kinds of WordPress generated pages as well as custom URLs. Additionally it notifies all major search engines every time you create a post about the new content.

The next WordPress plugin we recommend to improve website load speed is the W3 Total Cache Plugin.

W3 Total Cache plugin

According to the www.wordpress.org  plugin directory:

W3 Total Cache improves the user experience of your site by increasing server performance, reducing the download times and  providing transparent content delivery network (CDN) integration.

Our experience with this WordPress Plugin agrees with this statement.

WPtouch Plugin

If you are interested in taking your website mobile, you’ll want to use the WPtouch Plugin. We upgraded to the Pro Version.  It looks really nice and you can add a favicon to represent your website.   According to the www.wordpress.org  plugin directory:

WPtouch automatically transforms your WordPress website for mobile devices, complete with ajax loading articles and smooth effects when viewed from popular touch mobile devices like the iPhone, iPod touch, Android mobile phones, BlackBerry OS6+ mobile devices, and more!

The admin panel allows you to customize many aspects of its appearance, and deliver a fast, user-friendly and stylish version of your site to touch mobile visitors, without modifying a single bit of code (or affecting) your regular desktop theme.

The theme also includes the ability for visitors to switch between WPtouch view and your site’s regular theme.

Please like this post below or use the pictures to express yourself. Your feedback really is important to us.  We hope these WordPress plugins bring you all the advantages you need to have a successful WordPress blog or website experience.
